For the fifth year in a row, the Charlottesville racing Club is proud to present the Blue Ridge Extreme. We have made a number of new and exciting changes to the event and are thrilled to say that not only have we made it harder by adding almost 3,000 extra feet of climbing, but we have also made it better by pairing with a new host location, Wintergreen Resort. Route change include an additional climb to the Blue Ridge Parkway for our Century riders and a spectacular mountain top finish at Wintergreen's exciting Out of Bounds Adventure Center for all of our Century, Metric Century and Half Metric Century riders.

Our new partnership with Wintergreen allows us to offer a wide range of new amenities and activities to our riders, their friends and families. Wintergreen offers a number of flexible lodging options with special event pricing on condiminiums ranging from one to seven bedrooms. Start & Finish

The Start will be located on Route 664 at the foot of Wintergreen Mountain, near the small town of Beech Grove. A map showing the start location is available on our site. Riders are asked to gather at the start no later than 7:45 for a brief rider meeting and orientation. The finish festival for all routes, complete with food, drinks and music, will be at Wintergreen Resort's Out of Bounds Adventure Center. The Out of Bounds Adventure Center has many family friendly activities that can occupy friends and family while they are waiting for riders to finish. Passes for special day rates for unlimited use of the facilities will be available for purchase at Packet Pick up.

Registration

Advance registration is highly recommended and is available through Bikereg.com. In person registration will also be available the day before the event at the Blue Ridge Extreme Welcome table in the Wintergreen Resort main lobby from noon until 8:00 pm and the morning of the event, from 6:00 until 7:45 am at the check in and packet pickup table near the start.

Packet Pickup

Registered Riders will be able to check in and pick up rider packets the day before the event at the Blue Ridge Extreme Welcome table in the Wintergreen Resort main lobby from noon until 8:00 pm. Day passes for the Out of Bounds Adventure Center and other amenities will be available for purchase at check in. The morning of the event, check in and packet pickup will take place from 6:00 until 7:45 am at the registration table near the start.

Race Jerseys

If you have ordered an event jersey, it will be available for pick up with your race packet at check-in. We will also have a limited number of ride jerseys onhand for Sale for $75.00. If you are interested in a jersey and we don't have your size available, we will be conducting another order following the ride and we will take your order and mail your jersey to you when we receive it. We will only be able to accept cash or checks for Jersey orders.

Shuttles

Wintergreen will provide a revolving shuttle service for riders and their bikes from the resort to the start area beginning early Sunday morning before the event and running throughout the day. Shuttles will begin running at 6:30 and will transport riders between the finish area at the Out of Bounds Adventure Center and the parking area at the bottom of the mountain adjacent to the start and will depart from Wintergreen roughly every 10 minutes throughout the day to shuttle riders down the mountain. Riders are asked to make use of the shuttle service instead of riding down the mountain.

Parking

Parking will be available at WIntegreen Resort. Additional parking will also be available at the foot of the mountain, in a large field adjacent to the start location.If you choose to park near the Start, please be on the lookout for Parking Attendants who will be directing traffic and organizing parking The Wintergreen Shuttles will provide transportation down the mountain before the event for those that park at the resort and also back down the mountain after the ride for those who have parked in the designated parking areas near the start.
